The Utah Utes and the Washington Huskies meet Wednesday in Pac-12 Tournament college basketball action from T-Mobile Arena. Utah is 11-19 on the year so far. The Utes lost to Colorado in their last game. As for Washington, they’re 16-14 this season and coming off a win over Oregon State. Utah started off a decent 8-4 this year, then hit a rough 1-12 stretch that went into mid-February. The Utes have lost their last three straight games, falling to Arizona, Arizona State and Colorado in succession during that trio.

On Saturday versus Colorado, the Utes were drilled 29-50 in the first half alone. Utah got better on a 42-34 second-half run but it wasn’t enough in an 84-71 loss. Tops in production was David Jenkins on 18 points and six rebounds.

Over on the Washington side, they were sitting at 13-9 back in early February, but would win just one of their next six games (78-70 over Washington State). Since then it’s been a pair of wins over Oregon and Oregon State for the Huskies.

Matched up against Oregon State on Saturday, the Huskies took a 38-24 advantage out of halftime. Washington kept in range 40-43 in the second and took the 78-67 victory. Terrell Brown was the lead scorer on 24 points and three boards.

The Huskies are 4-1 ATS in their last five overall and 4-1 ATS in their last five Wednesday games. The over is 9-2-1 in Washington’s last 12 overall.

Meanwhile, the Utes are 0-4 ATS in their last four overall and 0-5 ATS in their last five Wednesday games. The over is 6-1 in Utah’s last seven Wednesday games.

PICK: I’m probably going to stick with Washington. Outside of a 77-66 loss to UCLA on February 28, the Huskies haven’t been doing too badly in their last four outings. Washington has 78 points in each of their three wins during that time, and they were able to take out Utah 77-73 in double overtime the last time these teams met up back on January 29.

Washington has won both matchups between these squads this year, but they’ve both been close. This one’s likely going to be a tight game as well, and I think the Huskies can eke out a cover/win. Should be a fun matchup to watch.
