USC vs Washington 3/10/22 College Basketball Picks, Predictions, Odds

The Washington Huskies and the USC Trojans meet Thursday in Pac-12 Tournament college basketball action from T-Mobile Arena. Washington is sitting at 17-14 overall this year. The Huskies beat Utah in a tournament game Wednesday. As for USC, they’re 25-6 this year and lost to UCLA in their last outing. Washington has had a pretty wild year so far as they fend off the .500 mark. The Huskies recently had a 1-5 stretch but they’re undefeated in March with three wins. Those victories have come courtesy of Oregon, Oregon State and Utah. 

In the Wednesday tournament matchup versus Utah, the Huskies posted a 40-37 advantage in the first half. Washington hit a 42-33 run in the second for an 82-70 win. Tops in scoring was Terrell Brown with 22 points and five assists.

Over on the USC side, they’ve been a highly consistent team this season. The Trojans didn’t lose consecutive games in any of their first 29 outings. That said, USC is sitting on a pair of losses to Arizona and UCLA right now. 

On Saturday versus UCLA, the Trojans were down 35-41 going into the second half. USC was outscored 33-34 from there and lost 75-68. Leading the team was Isaiah Mobley with 20 points, eight rebounds and two assists to his credit. 

PICK: I’m probably going to stay with USC here. The Trojans have gotten into a bit of trouble over their last two games, but prior to that they’d been on a solid run in conference outings. USC has done pretty well scoring lately also with 68 or more points in four straight games. 

As for Washington, they’ve scored 78 or more points in three straight games so we could see a high total here. The Huskies lost 79-69 the last time these teams met up back on February 17 though, so I think the Trojans are in the driver’s seat. Should be a fun matchup regardless.
