The Richmond Spiders and the Davidson Wildcats meet in the A-10 conference championship game from the Capital One Arena on Sunday afternoon.

The Richmond Spiders will look to build on their 68-64 win over Dayton that booked their spot in the conference championship. Tyler Burton leads the Spiders in scoring and rebounding with 16.3 PPG and 7.5 RPG while Grant Golden has 14.2 PPG with 6.1 RPG and 2.8 APG. Jacob Gilyard has 12.9 PPG with a team-high 5.5 APG to lead the Spiders in assists and to round out the group of double-digit scorers for Richmond up to this point in the year. As a team, Richmond is averaging 72.2 PPG on 44.7% shooting from the field, 33.7% from three and 71.8% from the foul line while allowing 69.1 PPG on 44.5% shooting from the field and 35.1% from three this season.

The Davidson Wildcats booked their spot in the title game with an 84-69 win over Saint Louis last time out. Foster Loyer leads the Wildcats in scoring and assists with 16.5 PPG and 3.4 APG while Hyunjung Lee has 16.3 PPG with 6.1 RPG and Luka Brajkovic has 14.3 PPG with a team-high 7 RPG to lead Davidson on the glass. Mike Jones has 11.7 PPG to make up the rest of the group of double-digit scorers for Davidson so far this season while Sam Mennenga has 8 PPG and 5.3 RPG. As a team, Davidson is averaging 75.8 PPG on 48.4% shooting from the field, 38.7% from three and 74.9% from the foul line while allowing 66 PPG on 41.9% shooting from the field and 34.2% from three this season.

Richmond is 5-1 ATS in their last 6 neutral site games as an underdog and 2-6 ATS in their last 8 games against a team with a winning record while the over is 5-0 in their last 5 games against a team with a winning record. Davidson is 6-1 ATS in their last 7 games overall and 5-0 ATS in their last 5 neutral site games while the over is 9-2 in their last 11 games against a team with a winning percentage above .600.

I get the case to be made for either side in this one, but as well as Richmond is playing right now over the course of this weekend, the reality is that the Wildcats have been the better team this season and have looked realy good in their two tournament games so far. I think this is a spot where Davidson takes down Richmond and keeps their momentum going into the NCAA tournament. Give me the Wildcats here.
