The Southeastern Louisiana Lions and the Appalachian State Mountaineers meet Sunday in college basketball action from Holmes Center. Southeastern Louisiana is fresh off a Saturday matchup versus Campbell. In that game the Lions eked out a one-point win. As for App State, they played Kennesaw State in their Saturday game. Southeastern Louisiana managed to go 2-2 over their first four games this year. The Lions managed wins over Loyola 90-72 and Wyoming 76-72. The losses came courtesy of Colorado State 80-69 and Kennesaw State 72-68.
In the Saturday game versus Campbell, Southeastern Louisiana was down 30-22 going into the second half. The Lions posted 48 points in the second half for a 70-69 comeback win. Sami Pissis put up 20 points, and Boogie Anderson had 17 points with four assists and four boards.

PICK: I’m leaning Southeastern Louisiana here but I’m not going near it. The Lions have hit 68 or more points in every game this year so far, so they’ve got a good offensive rhythm going. Southeastern Louisiana didn’t play particularly well versus the Camels though, with 37.1 percent shooting from the field and a 42-33 rebounding deficit.
As for App State, they were pretty competitive in their Saturday loss with 48 percent from the field and 31 rebounds. The Mountaineers will probably have to keep the offense up in this one, and I don’t think they’ll maintain the cover pace.
