Boise State vs New Orleans 12/13/22 College Basketball Picks, Predictions, Odds

The New Orleans Privateers and the Boise State Broncos meet Tuesday in college basketball action from ExtraMile Arena. New Orleans is 2-6 overall this year. The Privateers lost to Portland in their last game. As for Boise State, they’re 8-2 on the season and coming off a win over Saint Louis. New Orleans went just 1-3 over their first four games this year, losing to Butler, LSU and the Citadel. The Privateers hit another 1-3 run in the next quartet, losing to Denver, Louisiana and Portland in that stretch. 

In Saturday’s matchup versus Portland, New Orleans was down 54-31 by the break. The Privateers fell even further behind in the second and limped to a 100-61 loss. Both Tyson Jackson and Marquez Cooper scored 10 points apiece. 

Over on the Boise State side, they’ve got losses to South Dakota State and Charlotte so far. Otherwise it’s been wins over Washington State, Loyola, Colorado, Utah Valley, CSU Northridge, Texas A&M, Eastern OR and Saint Louis. 

Back on Saturday versus St. Louis, the Broncos trailed 26-23 going into the second half. Boise State hit a 34-26 run from there and notched the comeback win 57-52. Chibuzo Agbo topped the team on 18 points with six rebounds. 

PICK: I’ll probably stick with Boise State. The Broncos had a bit of a scare over the weekend versus a pretty good Saint Louis team, however Boise State was able to right the ship in the second half and pull off the win. The Broncos are generally scoring pretty well this year. They’ve hit 57 points or fewer in three of 10 games, though. As for New Orleans, they had a couple of very close consecutive losses before the blowout courtesy of Portland. The Privateers can put up points pretty well in comparable matchups but I don’t think they’ll be able to keep up with Boise State.
