Campbell vs Southeastern Louisiana 11/19/22 College Basketball Picks, Predictions, Odds

The Southeastern Louisiana Lions and the Campbell Fighting Camels meet Saturday in college basketball action from Holmes Center. Southeastern Louisiana is fresh off a Friday matchup versus Kennesaw State. In that one the Lions lost by four points. As for the Camels, they played Appalachian State in their Friday game. Southeastern Louisiana got off to a good start this year with a matchup versus Loyola. The Lions won that game 90-72. Southeastern Louisiana would follow that up with a loss 80-69 to Colorado State and a 76-72 win over Wyoming. 

In the Kennesaw State matchup, Southeastern Louisiana was down 46-34 at the break. The Lions got better in the second half but still lost 72-68. Boogie Anderson was the top team scorer on 23 points with four rebounds. 

Over on the Campbell side, their year began with a game versus St. Augustine’s. The Camels scored 39 points in the first half in a 79-62 win there. In game two, Campbell took on NC State. The Camels hung around but eventually lost 73-67. 

Matched up against Appalachian State on Friday, Campbell took a 29-24 lead into the second half. The Camels kept the pace from there in a 63-58 win. Tops in scoring was Devon Dunn with 18 points and four rebounds. Jesus Carralero added 11 points and seven boards. 

PICK: I’m probably staying with Campbell. The Camels shot quite a bit better than Appalachian State in Friday’s win (46 percent to 35.6 percent), which was a good thing since they were outpaced on the boards 38-35. Campbell hasn’t been scoring super well over the last couple of games, but they’ve been competitive. 

As for Southeastern Louisiana, they shot pretty well (45.1 percent) versus Kennesaw State on Friday but were out-rebounded 38-27 (11-5 offensive). The Lions are going to have to get on the boards better in this one.
