Colgate vs Duquesne 11/18/22 College Basketball Picks, Predictions, Odds

The Colgate Raiders and the Duquesne Dukes meet Friday in college basketball action from LeBron James Arena. Colgate is 3-1 on the season so far. The Raiders are fresh off a Tuesday win versus Syracuse. As for Duquesne, they’re sitting at 2-1 following a win over South Carolina State in their last appearance. Colgate took on Buffalo in their opener and it was a tight one. The Raiders ended up with an 88-87 loss to start out the year, but then got a win 77-68 over Brown in game two. Colgate kept it up with a 93-60 win versus Wells College. 

In Tuesday’s game versus Syracuse, Colgate jumped out to a 44-30 halftime advantage. The Raiders scored 36 more points in the second for an 80-68 victory. Leading the scoring was Tucker Richardson with 27 points and six rebounds. 

Over on the Duquesne side, they took on Montana in their opener. The Dukes held the Grizzlies to just 19 first-half points in a 91-63 win. Game two was a very tough matchup versus Kentucky, and Duquesne predictably fell 77-52. 

The Dukes got back into the win column on Monday versus South Carolina State. Duquesne scored 50 first-half points and 46 more after the break in a 96-71 blowout. Dae Dae Grant led the team on 14 points, six assists and three rebounds. 

PICK: I’m going to take a stab on Colgate. This should be a pretty good matchup regardless, though; both teams have done well so far. Colgate shot a nice 47.5 percent from the field with 22 team assists in the win over Syracuse during their last time out. The Raiders are playing good basketball and only have the one-point loss on their card so far. As for Duquesne, they obviously weren’t going to beat Kentucky but they’ve taken care of business otherwise. I like this one to stay close, with Colgate posting a late cover.
