East Tennessee State vs Louisiana 11/13/22 College Basketball Picks, Predictions, Odds

The Louisiana Ragin’ Cajuns and the East Tennessee State Buccaneers meet Sunday in college basketball action from US Cellular Center. Louisiana is 2-0 so far this year and coming off a win over Harvard. As for East Tennessee State, they’re 2-0 as well and took out Elon in their last game. Louisiana kicked off their season with a matchup against Centenary. The Cajuns jumped out to a 59-21 edge by halftime and cruised to the 106-55 result. Tops in scoring was Jordan Brown with 26 points, nine rebounds and three assists.

In game two versus Harvard, Louisiana had another solid outing. The Cajuns were up 34-23 by the break and ended up with a 75-61 win. Terence Lewis was the lead scorer this time with 20 points and 11 boards. Brown added 19 points and nine rebounds. 

Over on the East Tennessee State side, their first game was versus Emory & Henry. The Buccaneers didn’t have too much trouble there, posting an 88-66 win. Justice Smith led the way on 20 points with six rebounds in 19 minutes. 

In their second outing of the year, the Buccaneers took on Elon. East Tennessee State scored 39 points in the first half and 38 more from there in a 77-64 win. Jalen Haynes led the team with 17 points, and Josh Taylor put up 13 boards. 

PICK: I’m going to take a stab on Louisiana. This should be a pretty good matchup regardless, though. Louisiana managed to shoot 45.3 percent from the field in their last outing, collecting 31 rebounds along the way. The free throw shooting (64.7 percent) and the assists (eight) weren’t great, but the Cajuns powered out the win. East Tennessee State should provide a pretty good matchup overall; this one might be close.
