Evansville vs Southeast Missouri State 11/16/22 College Basketball Picks, Predictions, Odds

The Southeast Missouri State Redhawks and the Evansville Aces meet Wednesday in college basketball action from Ford Center. Southeast Missouri State is 2-0 this year. The Redhawks beat Lyon in their last game. As for Evansville, they’re sitting at 1-1 following a loss to St. Louis on Saturday. Southeast Missouri State took on South Florida in their opener and it ended up being a close battle. The Redhawks outscored the Bulls 34-31 in the second for a 64-61 win. Chris Harris led the team on 16 points with six rebounds. 

In game two versus Lyon, the Redhawks didn’t have too much trouble. Southeast Missouri State had a 34-13 lead by the break and rolled to the 83-46 win. Phillip Russell led the way on 23 points and four assists with three boards. 

Over on the Evansville side, their year kicked off with a matchup versus Miami-OH. The Aces notched a four-point lead by halftime and maintained it for a 78-74 win. Evansville’s Kenny Strawbridge led the team with 23 points. 

Evansville’s second matchup of the year versus St. Louis was a tricky one. The Aces led 39-37 by halftime but lost 83-65 after a pretty miserable second half. The Aces’ Yacine Toumi doubled up with 14 points and 10 rebounds. 

PICK: I’m going to take a stab on Evansville here. The Aces were competitive versus Miami-OH in their opener and managed to power out a close win. In the second outing versus St. Louis, Evansville had control of the game but faltered after a rough second half. Southeast Missouri State probably won’t put up a ton of points here, so if Evansville manages their shot selection well I think the Aces can keep the pace. Should be a good matchup regardless.
