Georgia Tech vs North Alabama 11/26/22 College Basketball Picks, Predictions, Odds

The North Alabama Lions and the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets meet Saturday in college basketball action from McCamish Pavilion. North Alabama enters this one at 4-2 overall. The Lions lost to UC Santa Barbara in their last game. As for Georgia Tech, they’re 3-2 and coming off a loss to Marquette. North Alabama won their first three games this year. The Lions took out Oakwood, Alabama A&M and Blue Mountain before a 76-68 loss to MS Valley. North Alabama bounced back with a win over Hampton in their next outing. 

In Wednesday’s matchup versus UC Santa Barbara, the Lions trailed 41-37 after one half. North Alabama couldn’t make up the difference in an 89-71 loss. Leading scorer Damian Forrest posted 15 points with eight rebounds. 

Over on the Georgia Tech side, they’ve had an up-and-down season as well. The Jackets kicked off the year at 3-0 with wins over Clayton State, Georgia State and Northern Illinois. Georgia Tech lost the next game to Utah 68-64, though. 

The Jackets made it consecutive losses after their matchup versus Marquette on Wednesday. Georgia Tech scored just 28 first-half points and lost 84-60. Javon Franklin doubled up in that one with 17 points and 14 rebounds. 

PICK: I’ll probably stay with Georgia Tech in this one. The Yellow Jackets haven’t played especially well over their last two games and shot just 33.8 percent against a decent Marquette team in their last outing. Still, this matchup should be a solid palate cleanser. North Alabama has struggled against remotely comparable teams so far this season and should be outmatched if Georgia Tech plays to their capabilities.
