James Madison vs South Dakota State 11/26/22 College Basketball Picks, Predictions, Odds

The South Dakota State Jackrabbits and the James Madison Dukes meet Saturday in college basketball action from Enmarket Arena. South Dakota State is coming off a Friday game versus Valparaiso. In that one the Jackrabbits won by 11 points. As for James Madison, they took on Coastal Georgia in their Friday matchup. The Dukes cruised to an easy win in that matchup. South Dakota State managed to go 2-3 over their first five games this season. The wins came courtesy of Boise State 68-66 and St. Bonaventure 66-62. The three losses were to Akron 81-80, Arkansas 71-56 and Stephen F. Austin 93-82. 

In Friday’s matchup versus Valparaiso, South Dakota State took a 23-23 tie into the locker room. The Jackrabbits posted a 38-27 advantage from there in a 61-50 win. William Kyle led the team on 17 points, and Zeke Mayo doubled with 11 points and 13 boards. 

Over on the James Madison side, they went on a four-game win streak to start out the season. The Dukes beat Valley Forge, Hampton, Buffalo and Howard in that time. Game five was a loss to a tough North Carolina team, though. 

On Friday versus Coastal Georgia, the Dukes had zero issues. James Madison scored 49 points in the first half and 51 more in the second for a 100-54 victory. Leading the scoring was Xavier Brown with 17 points and seven rebounds. 

PICK: I’m probably sticking with James Madison. The Dukes have performed very well this year—outside of the lone loss to a top-shelf North Carolina team. James Madison has scored a whopping 95 or more points in each of their wins so far; the offense is humming along nicely. As for South Dakota State, they put up a good second half in their last game versus Valparaiso. The Jackrabbits have eclipsed 68 points just once in the last five games however, so they may have a hard time keeping up.
