Missouri vs Houston Christian 11/26/22 College Basketball Picks, Predictions, Odds

The Houston Christian Huskies and the Missouri Tigers meet Saturday in college basketball action from Mizzou Arena. Houston Christian is 1-5 on the season so far. The Huskies lost to Rice in their last game. As for Missouri, they’re 6-0 and coming off a win over Coastal Carolina. Houston Christian lost their first two games of the season, falling 77-66 to FIU and 82-31 to Texas. The Huskies managed a win over Champion Christian in game three, but then fell to Western Michigan and Georgia Southern in the next pair. 

On Monday versus Rice, the Huskies held a 41-24 lead at the break. Houston Christian fell apart on a 52-26 run from there and lost 76-67. Sam Hofman led the team with 18 points and nine boards, while Pierce Bazil doubled up on 10 points and 10 assists. 

Over on the Missouri side, they’re off to a nice undefeated start so far. Over their first five games this year, the Tigers took out Southern Indiana, Penn, Lindenwood, SIU-Edwardsville and MS Valley. 

On Wednesday versus Coastal Carolina, the Tigers were up 45-32 going into the second half. Missouri hit a 44-19 run from there and won 89-51. Isiaih Mosley led the team on 23 points, and D’Moi Hodge had 18 points with seven assists. 

PICK: I’m probably staying with Missouri here. The Tigers are rolling along nicely so far, and they’re coming off 46.7 percent shooting and 27 team assists in the win over Coastal Carolina. Missouri had a couple of reasonably close calls to start out the season, but they’re doing great over their last four games. 

As for Houston Christian, they’re recovering from a bad loss to Rice despite a great first-half effort. This is going to be an even tougher matchup though, and I don’t think the Huskies will cover.
