Northern Colorado vs North Dakota State 11/25/22 College Basketball Picks, Predictions, Odds

The North Dakota State Bison and the Northern Colorado Bears meet Friday in college basketball action from the Pit. North Dakota State is 1-4 so far and coming off a win over Crown College. North Dakota State got off to a rough start this year, losing their first four games. The Bison lost to Arkansas 76-58 and Kansas 82-59 in the first pair. The next two were losses to Pacific 91-86 and Indiana State 101-75. 

In Sunday’s matchup versus Crown College, the Bison finally got their first win of the year. North Dakota State jumped out to a 40-26 halftime edge and hung on for the win 76-55. Andrew Morgan led the team on 23 points and 14 rebounds. 

Over on the Northern Colorado side, they had a tough opener matchup versus Houston in an 83-36 loss, but then got a win over Texas A&M-Commerce 80-77. The next two were losses to Baylor and San Jose State. 

Northern Colorado matched up against CO Christian in their last game on Tuesday. The Bears fell behind 40-37 at the break. Northern Colorado eventually took a loss 70-69. Dalton Knecht led the team on 21 points with five rebounds and two assists. 

PICK: I’m probably going with North Dakota State. That said, I’m not going near it. There’s not much to like with this matchup. The Bison had two tough matchups to open the year, and since then they’ve gone 1-2. One of those games was a close loss, so that’s a positive for North Dakota State. The Bison should be able to handle Northern Colorado; the Bears have hit 69 or more points in three of their last four games though, so North Dakota State will likely have to get going early.
