The South Dakota Coyotes and the Oral Roberts Golden Eagles meet Saturday in college basketball action from Mabee Center. South Dakota holds a 17-11 record so far. The Coyotes lost to Kansas City in their last game. As for Oral Roberts, they’re sitting at 18-10 and coming off a loss to South Dakota State. South Dakota hit a sketchy 7-7 run to start out the year, but they’ve been much better since then. Following a four-game winning streak over Omaha, Denver, St. Thomas MN and Western Illinois, the Coyotes lost to Kansas City in their last game.
In the Thursday matchup versus UMKC, the Coyotes were outscored 22-39 in the first half. South Dakota posted a 41-33 run from there but still lost 72-63. Leading the scoring was Tasos Kamateros with 15 points, four boards and four assists.
Over on the Eagles’ side, their year started out on a pretty solid 13-6 run. The Eagles have gone 5-4 since then, however. The losses during that stretch have come to North Dakota State, Western Illinois, North Dakota State again and South Dakota State.
Matched up against South Dakota State on Thursday, the Eagles were up 50-41 by halftime but needed an extra period to decide the game. At the buzzer, Oral Roberts had a tough 106-102 loss. Max Abmas led the team on his 34 points and four boards.
The Eagles are 1-5 ATS in their last six at home and 3-7 ATS in their last 10 overall. The over is 6-2 in Oral Roberts’ last eight overall.

PICK: I’m going with Oral Roberts in this one. The Eagles had a rough loss in their Thursday game despite holding a lead much of the way. That said, outside of a dud or two along the way Oral Roberts is scoring very well lately. The last time these teams met up, the Eagles secured an 82-73 road victory on December 20. It might not be pretty, but I like Oral Roberts slightly better on a cover here. Should be a great matchup, though.
