The Chicago State Cougars and the Seattle Redhawks meet Saturday in college basketball action from Connolly Center. Chicago State is 7-23 overall this year and coming off a loss to Cal Baptist. As for Seattle, they’re currently 22-8 on the season. The Redhawks beat Dixie State in their last game. Check back all season long for free college basketball picks at Sports Chat Place.

Chicago State managed wins in their first two games this year but haven’t won consecutive outings since then. The Cougars are just 1-10 in their last 11 games. After their most recent win over New Mexico State, Chicago State lost to Cal Baptist in their last game.

On Wednesday versus the Lancers, the Cougars scored 25 points in the first half and 28 points in the second on the way to a 62-53 defeat. Leading Chicago State scorer Brandon Betson put up 24 points with four rebounds in the loss.

Over on the Seattle side, they had a 1-3 run in December but have only lost consecutive games twice outside of that this year. The Redhawks recently took losses to New Mexico State and Utah Valley but bounced back with a win over Dixie State in their last game.

Matched up against Dixie State on Saturday, the Redhawks were down 28-29 by halftime. Seattle hit a 45-36 run in the second on the way to a 73-65 victory. Leading scorer Darrion Trammell put up 16 points with seven assists.

The Redhawks are 10-4-1 ATS in their last 15 at home and 6-2-1 ATS in their last nine after an ATS win. The under is 4-0 in Seattle’s last four overall.
Meanwhile, the Cougars are 1-5 ATS in their last six after an ATS win and 5-0 ATS in their last five road games. Chicago State is 7-3 ATS in their last 10 Saturday games.

PICK: I’m going to stay with Seattle here, but the line is probably too thick to mess with. The Redhawks had a couple of shaky games recently versus New Mexico State and Utah Valley, posting just 107 combined points in that pair. Seattle has been pretty reliable scoring-wise outside of that lately, though. The last time these teams met up back on January 6, Seattle managed a 93-77 road win. I don’t think the Redhawks will have too many issues banging out a cover in this rematch if they play well.
