South Florida vs UAB 11/21/22 College Basketball Picks, Predictions, Odds

The UAB Blazers and the South Florida Bulls meet Monday in college basketball action from Ocean Center. UAB enters this one at 2-1 overall. The Blazers beat Presbyterian in their last outing. UAB kicked off their season with an easy matchup versus Alabama State. The Blazers scored 58 second-half points for a 111-70 win in that one. Game two was UAB’s first loss. The Blazers ended up with a 93-85 result against Toledo. 

Back on Wednesday versus Presbyterian, UAB was able to get back into the win column. The Blazers posed a 44-30 first-half advantage and scored 48 more points from there in a 92-61 win. Eric Gaines led the team on 16 points and 10 assists. 

Over on the South Florida side, it’s been a tough road so far. The good news is that the Bulls have been competitive in every game. The first three losses came to Southeast Missouri State 64-61, Auburn 67-59 and Stetson 68-67. 

The Bulls played another tight game on Thursday against Austin Peay. South Florida scored 30 points in each half and came up short in a 62-60 loss. Tyler Harris was tops with 14 points, and both Selton Miguel and Sam Hines added 13 points apiece. 

PICK: I’m going to try South Florida in this one. The Bulls haven’t had any luck so far this year in the win column, but to their credit the team is playing tight basketball and staying competitive. South Florida shot 41.4 percent from the floor with 34 rebounds and 12 team assists in the Austin Peay loss. As for UAB they’re coming off a strong performance themselves with 55.7 percent shooting and 41 rebounds against Presbyterian. I like this matchup to be another close one with USF powering out the cover.
