Southeast Missouri State vs UC Davis 11/27/22 College Basketball Picks, Predictions, Odds

The UC Davis Aggies and the Southeast Missouri State Redhawks meet Sunday in college basketball action from Show Me Center. UC Davis is fresh off a Saturday matchup versus Milwaukee. In that game the Aggies took a close loss. As for Southeast Missouri State, they played Boston U in their Saturday game. The Redhawks ended up winning that one by nine points. UC Davis managed wins in their first two games this year over California and Cal Maritime. The Aggies lost to LMU in game three, then took consecutive wins over Arkansas State and Sacramento State. 

In Saturday’s game versus Milwaukee, UC Davis trailed by three points going into the second half. The Aggies trailed 39-36 by halftime and ended up losing 87-85 in a wild finish. Ty Johnson led the team on 32 points with eight steals. 

Over on the Southeast Missouri State side, they won their first three this year versus South Florida, Lyon and Evansville. The Redhawks lost to Bradley in game four but bounced back with a win over William Woods. 

In the Boston U game on Saturday, the Redhawks jumped out to a 10-point lead by halftime. The Redhawks kept up the pace in the second for a 63-52 win. Phillip Russell led the team on 21 points with six rebounds and three assists. 

PICK: I might try Southeast Missouri State in this one. The Redhawks weren’t exactly shooting the lights out in the Boston U game, with just 35.8 percent from the field and 16-of-21 (76.2 percent) from the line. That said, Southeast Missouri State did a good job on the boards with a 43-32 rebounding advantage in a gritty effort. 

As for UC Davis, they shot 50.8 percent from the field in Saturday’s game but ended up with just 16-of-25 (64 percent) from the line. The Aggies should bounce back here but I like the idea of SEMO on a cover.
