The Bryant Bulldogs will travel to DeGol Arena to take on the St. Francis (PA) Red Flash this Thursday night in College Basketball action.

The Bryant Bulldogs won their 6th straight game and improved to 12-8 on the season after defeating the Long Island University Sharks, 88-81, this past Sunday. Bryant led by a 39-29 margin at halftime and was able to hold off Long Island University for the victory after taking a 77-66 lead with 1:55 left in regulation. Bryant shot 40.3% from the field & 27.3% from beyond the arc while holding Long Island University to 36.4% shooting from the field & 21.9% from beyond the arc. Leading the way for the Bulldogs was Peter Kiss who had 30 points, 5 rebounds, & 2 assists.

On the season, Bryant is averaging 76.0 ppg on 42.8% shooting from the field. The Bulldogs are averaging 8.6 three-pointers per game on 30.0% shooting from beyond the arc. Offensively, Bryant has been led by Peter Kiss (22.8 ppg, 5.7 rpg, 3.5 apg, 1.6 spg), Charles Pride (15.4 ppg, 7.8 rpg, 2.6 apg, 1.5 spg), Adham Eleeda (10.5 ppg, 4.3 rpg), & Hall Elisias (9.3 ppg, 6.6 rpg, 3.2 bpg). Bryant will be without Peter Kiss who is serving a two-game suspension.

Defensviely, Bryant is allowing their opponents to an average of 73.2 ppg on 41.5% shooting from the field. The Bulldogs have a rebound margin of 1.4 and a turnover margin of -2.2.

The St. Francis (PA) Red Flash lost their 2nd straight game and dropped to 7-14 on the season after being defeated by the Mount St. Mary’s Mountaineers, 71-54, this past Saturday. St. Francis (PA) struggled on the offensive end against Mount St. Mary’s and could not fight back after Mount St. Mary’s took a 56-43 lead with 6:41 left in regulation. St. Francis (PA) shot 39.6% from the field & 20.0% from beyond the arc while allowing Mount St. Mary’s to shoot 45.2% from the field & 53.3% from beyond the arc. Leading the way for the Red Flash was Maxwell Land who had 17 points, 2 rebounds, 1 assist, & 2 steals.

On the season, St. Francis (PA) is averaging 68.9 ppg on 43.0% shooting from the field. The Red Flash are averaging 5.6 three-pointers per game on 31.2% shooting from beyond the arc. Offensively, St. Francis (PA) has been led by Ramiir Dixon-Conover (12.3 ppg, 4.6 rpg, 3.5 apg, 1.9 spg), Myles Thompson (11.8 ppg, 3.8 rpg, 1.0 apg), Ronell Giles Jr. (11.5 ppg, 3.7 rpg, 2.3 apg, 1.6 spg), & Maxwell Land (10.5 ppg, 4.1 rpg, 1.7 apg). Ronell Giles Jr. has missed the last 6 games and is questionable for this matchup.

Defensively, St. Francis (PA) is allowing their opponents to an average of 73.6 ppg on 45.8% shooting from the field. The Red Flash have a rebound margin of -1.2 and a turnover margin of 0.8.

The Bulldogs are 5-0 ATS in their last 5 games overall and 9-9-1 ATS on the season. The Red Flash are 0-5-1 ATS in their last 6 Thursday games & 1-4 ATS in their last 5 home games.

Bryant has been led by their offense which ranks t-71st in scoring offense & 83rd in three-pointers made per game, however, the Bryant has struggled with turnovers (306th in turnover margin) and has had trouble keeping opponents off the scoreboard as they rank just 281st in scoring defense. St. Francis (PA) has struggled on both ends of the court this season and currently rank just 242nd in scoring offense, 288th in scoring defense, & 310th in scoring defense.

Bryant is one of the better teams in the NEC and has been playing well as of late, however, I’m interested to see how the Bulldogs do without their leading scorer in Peter Kiss. St. Francis (PA) hasn’t had a great season and lost by 30 to Bryant earlier this season on the road, however, the Red Flash do have a winning home record this season and as I think their offense will have some success against Bryant on their home court, I think the Red Flash do enough with points to get us a cover. Good Luck!
