Tarleton State vs Drake 11/21/22 College Basketball Picks, Predictions, Odds

The Drake Bulldogs and the Tarleton State Texans meet Monday in college basketball action from Sports and Fitness Center. Drake is 4-0 so far this year. The Bulldogs are coming off a win over Wyoming on Sunday. As for Tarleton State, they beat Boston College in their Sunday matchup. Drake has been rolling along pretty well this year. The Bulldogs took out IUPUI 80-48 in their opener, then went on to beat Wofford 80-72 in game two. Back on Friday Drake got another win, this time 80-72 against Buffalo. 

On Sunday versus Wyoming, Drake had a 34-18 lead by halftime. The Bulldogs were outscored 38-27 from there but still hung on for the 61-56 win. Tucker DeVries led the way on 29 points and four rebounds. Darnell Brodie added five points with nine boards. 

Over on the Tarleton State side, they lost to Arizona State in a tough opener matchup 62-59. The Texans were able to bounce back over their next two games however, beating Kansas CC 95-49 and Belmont 89-81. 

In Sunday’s matchup versus Boston College, the Texans built up a 36-19 edge by halftime. Tarleton State kept the pace from there and came away with a 70-54 win. Freddy Hicks led the team on 21 points and six rebounds. 

PICK: I’m probably going to stay with Drake. The Bulldogs had hit 80 points in each of their previous three games, but they didn’t push the tempo after the big first half lead on Sunday against Wyoming. Drake shot 42.3 percent from the field and hit 11-of-13 (84.6 percent) from the line in a pretty solid win. 

As for Tarleton State, they came up with a nice win themselves on Sunday. The Texans shot 51.1 percent from the field with 20-of-25 (80 percent) of their foul shots made.
