The Baylor Bears and the UCLA Bruins meet in college basketball action from the T-Mobile Arena on Sunday.

The Baylor Bears will be out to bounce back from an 86-79 loss to Virginia last time out. Keyonte George leads the Bears in scoring with 17 PPG along with 5.5 RPG and 4.5 RPG while Adam Flagler has 16.8 PPG with a team-high 7.5 APG to lead the Bears in assists. LJ Cryer has 15.5 PPG and Jalen Bridges has 12.5 PPG to make up the group of double-digit scorers for Baylor up to this point in the year. Caleb Lohner also has a team-high 6 RPG to lead the Bears on the glass. As a team, Baylor is averaging 94.5 PPG on 50.6% shooting from the field, 38.8% from three and 69.4% from the foul line this season.

The UCLA Bruins will hope to rebound from a 79-70 loss to Illinois last time out. Tyger Campbell leads the Bruins in scoring and assists with 16.3 PPG and 4.2 APG while Jaylen Clark has 14.8 PPG with a team-high 7.5 RPG to lead the Bruins on the glass up to this point in the year. Jaime Jaquez Jr. has 14.5 PPG along with 6.3 RPG and 3.3 APG and David Singleton’s posting 13.3 PPG and 4.5 RPG to cap of the group of double-digit scorers for UCLA so far this year. As a team, UCLA is averaging 81.3 PPG on 47.9% shooting from the field, 42.7% from three and 63% from the foul line this season.

Baylor is 1-5 ATS in their last 6 games against a team with a winning record and 4-1-1 ATs in their last 6 games following an ATS loss while the over is 5-0 in their last 5 games overall. UCLA is 1-4 ATS in their last 5 neutral site games and 5-1 ATS in their last 6 games following an ATS loss while the over is 5-1 in their last 6 games following a loss.

I get the case to be made for either side in this one, as this is a star-studded affair and a potential NCAA tournament preview if the cards all fall right. That being said, I like Baylor a lot here. Don’t get me wrong, I like this UCLA team as well, but the Bruins already have issues where the coaches are calling out the defensive efforts of the team and I’m not sure one day between games is enough to fix those issues, especially when it’s Baylor coming in on the other side. All in all, I think the Baylor Bears get the job done in this one, so give me Baylor laying the points.
