The Green Bay Phoenix and the Utah Valley Wolverines meet Sunday in college basketball action from Montego Bay Convention Centre. Green Bay is 0-4 on the year. The Phoenix lost to Queens NC in their last game. As for Utah Valley, they’re 2-3 so far following a loss to Morgan State on Friday. Green Bay hasn’t been able to find much success so far this year. The Phoenix lost their opener 80-53 to Indiana State, then fell 92-58 in a blowout to Georgetown. In game three, Green Bay lost 56-45 to Wisconsin.

The Phoenix continued to skid in game four on Friday versus Queens NC. The Phoenix held a 35-34 halftime edge, but were outscored 47-30 from there in an 81-65 loss. The only double-digit team scorer was Cade Meyer with 10 points.

Over on the Utah Valley side, they lost their opener as well, 75-58 to Utah State. The Wolverines managed a 91-64 win over Western State in game two then a 73-69 win over Northern AZ. Game four was a 68-65 loss to Wake Forest.

The Wolverines played another tight game on Friday versus Morgan State. Utah Valley posted a second-half comeback and got it to overtime but lost 73-72. Aziz Bandaogo was the lead scorer on 15 points and eight rebounds.

PICK: I’m going to stay with Utah Valley. Granted, there’s not much to like here when you consider each team’s record. That said, Utah Valley has lost their last two games by a combined four points so they’ve remained competitive. The Wolverines have 72 or more points in three of their last four games as well. That should be enough to topple Green Bay, who has 58 or fewer points in three of four.
