Weber State vs UC Riverside 11/21/22 College Basketball Picks, Predictions, Odds

The UC Riverside Highlanders and the Weber State Wildcats meet Monday in college basketball action from Dollar Loan Center. UC Riverside is 2-2 so far. The Highlanders beat Occidental in their last outing. As for Weber State, they’re 1-2 and coming off a loss to Colorado State. UC Riverside started off the season with a tricky matchup versus Colorado. The Highlanders lost that one 82-66, but bounced back versus LMU for an 81-79 win in game two. Game three was an 80-51 blowout loss for UC Riverside. 

In Saturday’s matchup versus Occidental, UC Riverside got back into the win column. The Highlanders scored 52 points in the first half and 54 more from there in a 106-30 win. Lachlan Olbrich led the team on 16 points with six rebounds. 

Over on the Weber State side, their season began with a matchup versus Washington. Weber State scored just 23 points in the first half in that one and lost 69-52. Game two was a win however, 83-67 over Western State. 

In their third matchup of the year last Monday versus Colorado State, the Wildcats were down 36-15 by halftime. Weber State limped to a 77-52 loss from there. Dillon Jones doubled up for the Wildcats with 20 points and 14 rebounds. 

PICK: I’m going to stick with UC Riverside. I’m probably not going near this one, though; there’s not a ton to like. In any case, the Highlanders have a couple of blowout losses against relatively tough teams on their card this year. UC Riverside has done pretty well in their comparable matchups, though. Considering Weber State is struggling as well, UC Riverside should find some room to score in this one. I like the Highlanders slightly better on a cover/win, but I’m not touching it.
