Albany vs Binghamton Pick – Basketball Predictions & Odds 1/19/23

The Binghamton Bearcats and the Albany Great Danes meet Thursday in college basketball action from McDonough Sports Complex. Binghamton is 7-10 overall this year and coming off a win over UMass Lowell. As for Albany, they’re currently 6-14 this season. The Danes lost to NJIT on Saturday. Binghamton Bearcats 

Binghamton won just four of their first 14 games this year over Cazenovia, Marist, Columbia and SUNY Oneonta. The Bearcats have since won three straight over New Hampshire, NJIT and UMass Lowell. 

On Saturday versus UMass Lowell, the Bearcats took a 33-30 deficit into the break. Binghamton posted a 36-32 run from there and won it 66-65. Jacob Falko led the team on 19 points in 37 minutes. 

Albany Great Danes 

Over on the Albany side, they started out at 5-9 with wins over Immaculata, Union NY, Presbyterian, LIU and Northern Illinois. The Danes are 1-5 since then with losses to Virginia, New Hampshire, UMBC, Bryant and NJIT. 

In the NJIT game on Saturday, the Great Danes kept the pace on a 33-33 run in the first half. Albany was outscored 41-34 from there and lost the game 74-67. Gerald Drumgoole led the team on 29 points with seven rebounds.

ANDREW’S FREE PICK 

I’m going to try Binghamton here. Granted, there’s not a lot to get excited about in this matchup. That said, it should still be a competitive affair. Binghamton is playing pretty well lately. They’ve hit a three-game win streak—most recently over a good UMass Lowell team—and have scored 66 or more points in seven straight outings. As for Albany, they’ve been below 70 points in four of their last six games and didn’t play all that well against NJIT on Saturday. I like the Danes to hang around for a while before Binghamton covers/wins here.
