Arkansas vs Texas A&M Pick – Basketball Predictions & Odds 1/31/23

The Texas A&M Aggies and the Arkansas Razorbacks meet Tuesday in college basketball action from Bud Walton Arena. Texas A&M is currently 15-6 on the year. The Aggies beat Vanderbilt in their last game. As for Arkansas, they’re 14-7 on the season and fresh off a loss to Baylor. Texas A&M Aggies 

Texas A&M went 11-5 in their first 16 games, losing to Colorado, Murray State, Memphis, Boise State and Wofford. The Aggies are 4-1 in their last five outings with wins over South Carolina, Florida, Auburn and Vanderbilt. 

In the Vanderbilt game on Saturday, the Aggies took a four-point deficit into the break. Texas A&M fought back on a 42-32 second half and won it 72-66. Henry Coleman was the top scorer with 18 points and six rebounds. 

Arkansas Razorbacks

Over on the Arkansas side, they lost to Creighton, LSU, Auburn and Alabama in their first 16 games. The Razorbacks have gone 2-3 in their last five with wins over Ole Miss and LSU alongside losses to Vanderbilt, Missouri and Baylor. 

In the Baylor matchup on Saturday, the Razorbacks took a 33-27 lead into halftime. Arkansas was outscored 40-31 in the second half for a 67-64 loss. Ricky Council posted 25 points in the loss and Davonte Davis added 16 points. 

ANDREW’S FREE PICK 

I’ll probably take a stab on Arkansas here. The Razorbacks nearly took out a great Baylor team on the road in their last outing, shooting 50.9 percent from the field with 35 rebounds and 16 team assists. Arkansas was a sketchy 6-of-11 from the line however, and committed 15 turnovers. That said, the Razorbacks have been close in each of their last two losses and have the goods to hang around in this one. If Arkansas is playing well, Texas A&M will have their hands full.
