Bowling Green Falcons

Bowling Green went 5-7 over their first 12 games with wins over Air Force, Oakland, Morgan State, Hampton and Fairmont State. The Falcons are 3-2 since then with losses to Akron and Western Michigan in that time. 

Back on Saturday versus Western Michigan, the Falcons were ahead 50-39 at halftime. Bowling Green was outscored 69-42 in the second half and lost it 108-92, though. Leon Ayers was the lead scorer with 21 points and eight assists. 

Buffalo Bulls 

Over on the Buffalo side, they were 6-6 after 12 games with losses to James Madison, Drake, UConn, Howard, Tulane and West Virginia. The Bulls are 2-3 in their last five, losing to Michigan State, Miami-OH and Central Michigan. 

In the Chippewas matchup on Saturday, the Bulls scored 30 points in the first half, 40 in the second and eight in overtime during a tough 87-78 loss. Curtis Jones posted 20 points and Isaiah Adams doubled on 12 points and 11 rebounds.

I’m leaning toward Buffalo here. Probably staying away from this one, though. The Bulls have lost three of their last five games, however there are some bright spots to focus on. Buffalo is still scoring well; they’ve hit 68 or more points in seven straight games and should post a decent total in this one. Bowling Green has been solid on the scoreboard themselves. The Falcons have hit 67 or more points in 10 straight outings. I like a high-scoring, competitive matchup here; cover-wise you could probably make a case either way.
