Colorado State vs Air Force 1/10/23 College Basketball Picks, Predictions, Odds

The Air Force Falcons and the Colorado State Rams meet Tuesday in college basketball action from Moby Arena. Air Force is currently 9-7 overall so far. The Falcons lost to Utah State in their last game. As for Colorado State, they’re 9-8 on the season following a win over Fresno State. Air Force managed a 6-4 run over their first 10 this year, losing to Bowling Green, Texas A&M-Commerce, Portland and Portland State. The Falcons are 3-3 since then with wins over Arkansas State, Tarleton State and Northern Colorado. 

In last Tuesday’s matchup versus Utah State, the Falcons were outpaced 44-28 in the first half. Air Force got better in the second half with 37 points but lost 77-65. Jake Heidbreder topped the team on 19 points and four rebounds.

Over on the Colorado State side, they were 6-4 after 10 games as well, losing to Charleston, Penn State, Northern Colorado and Colorado. The Rams are 3-4 in their last seven, beating Peru State, Saint Mary’s and Fresno State. 

On Saturday versus Fresno State, the Rams were up 35-23 by the break. Colorado State logged a 44-34 run in the second half for a 79-57 win. Both Patrick Cartier and Isaiah Stevens scored 16 points apiece. 

PICK: I’m going to take a stab on Air Force here. Probably staying away, though; you could make a good case either way but this should be a fairly competitive game if Air Force plays well. In any case, the Falcons have had it rough over their last three games, taking on some tough opponents and failing to hit 70 points in any of them. Air Force should match up better in this one, and if they get off to a good start I think they’ll be fine cover-wise. Colorado State has hit 69 or more points in four straight games however, and could give the Falcons some trouble.
