The Princeton Tigers and the Dartmouth Big Green meet Saturday in college basketball action from Leede Arena. Princeton is currently 16-6 overall and coming off a win over Columbia last weekend. As for Dartmouth, they’re 8-15 on the season. The Big Green lost to Yale last Saturday. Check back all season long for free college basketball picks at Sports Chat Place.

Princeton Tigers

Princeton got off to a solid start this season, going 12-4 over their first 16 games. The Tigers are 4-2 in the six games since then, taking wins over Penn, Dartmouth, Cornell and Columbia. The losses came to Yale and Brown otherwise.

Last Saturday versus Columbia, the Tigers stormed out to a 47-25 halftime edge. Princeton scored another 41 points in the second half and won easily 88-66. Leading team scorer Tosan Evbuomwan put up 19 points with six rebounds.

Dartmouth Big Green

Over on the Dartmouth side, they started out the year on a rough run at 4-11 through 15 games. The Big Green are 4-4 since then, beating Yale, Penn, Harvard and Columbia with losses to Brown, Princeton, Brown again and Yale.

In the Yale game last weekend, Dartmouth took a 33-22 deficit into the break. The Big Green didn’t get any closer on a 39-31 second-half run and lost 72-53. Demi Adelekun was the only team double-digit scorer with 13 points and nine boards.

ANDREW’S FREE PICK

I’ll lean toward Princeton here. The Tigers have won eight of their last 10 games with only one real “dud” outing (an 87-65 road loss to Yale) in that time. That said, Princeton does need a bit of retribution after eking out a 93-90 overtime win over Dartmouth the last time these teams met on January 21 at Jadwin Gym. Still, Dartmouth has floundered more often than not this year, and they’ve got just 114 combined points over the last two games. Princeton should be able to cover if they play to their capabilities, but I’ll probably stay away from this one.

Andrew's Free Pick: Princeton Tigers -6.5
