Dartmouth vs Yale Pick – Basketball Predictions & Odds 2/4/23

The Yale Bulldogs and the Dartmouth Big Green meet Saturday in college basketball action from Leede Arena. Yale is fresh off a Friday game versus Harvard. In that one the Bulldogs took an 11-point win. As for Dartmouth, they’re coming off a Friday matchup against Brown. The Green ended up falling by 12 points. Yale Bulldogs 

Yale started out the year on a pretty solid clip, going 10-5 through their first 15 outings. The Bulldogs posted a 4-1 run in the next five games. The wins during that stretch came versus Harvard, Brown, Penn and Princeton. 

In the Harvard rematch on Friday, the Bulldogs managed a 42-25 edge going into the second half. Yale cruised on a 32-26 deficit from there in a 68-57 win. Matt Knowling was tops on the team in scoring with 18 points and seven rebounds. 

Dartmouth Big Green 

Over on the Dartmouth side, they stood at a rough 4-11 through their first 15 outings. The Big Green got better in the next six after that however, beating Yale, Penn, Harvard and Columbia along the way. 

Matched up against Brown in the Friday game, the Green were behind 34-21 at halftime. Dartmouth posted a 40-39 run in the second half and lost 73-61. Jayden Williams was the high man on 19 points and two boards. 

ANDREW’S FREE PICK 

I’ll probably stick with Yale here. The Bulldogs didn’t have a ton of trouble with a decent Harvard team on Friday, and they’ve now won four straight games. Yale has been scoring well also, with 68 or more points in five straight. The last time these teams met up was back on January 6 in an 81-77 Dartmouth victory. The Big Green scored 47 points in the second half alone during that one so we could have a high-scoring game on Saturday. That said, I still like Yale to get some revenge with a big win/cover. Should be a fun one.
