Davidson vs Saint Louis Pick – Basketball Predictions & Odds 1/27/23

The Saint Louis Billikens and the Davidson Wildcats meet Friday in college basketball action from Belk Arena. Saint Louis stands at 14-6 so far. The Billikens beat La Salle in their last game. Saint Louis Billikens 

Saint Louis stood at 10-6 after 16 games, losing to Maryland, Auburn, Iona, Boise State, SIUE and UMass. The Billikens are 4-0 in their last quartet, beating George Mason, George Washington, Loyola IL and La Salle. 

In the La Salle game, the Billikens were up by a slim one-point margin at the break. Saint Louis powered out a 51-39 second half and took the win 84-71. Leading the way was Sincere Parker with 20 points, and Francis Okoro doubled with 20 rebounds and 12 points. 

Davidson Wildcats 

Over on the Davidson side, they lost to Charleston, Charlotte, Delaware, Purdue, Northeastern, Dayton and VCU in their first 16 games. The Wildcats have managed a 1-3 stretch since then with a lone win over La Salle. 

Matched up against the Explorers on Tuesday, the Wildcats trailed by one going into the second half. Davidson managed a 32-24 run from there and won it 64-57. Sam Mennenga doubled on 27 points and 11 rebounds. 

ANDREW’S FREE PICK 

I’ll probably stick with Saint Louis in this one. Should be a fun game, though. The Billikens are currently riding a nice five-game win streak, and they’ve been scoring well lately also. Saint Louis has hit 67 or more points in eight of their last nine outings and should score pretty well here. As for Davidson, they broke a four-game losing streak with their win over La Salle. The Wildcats haven’t cracked 65 points in four straight outings, though. Saint Louis should be in line for the cover/win if they play well.
