Eastern Michigan vs Ohio Pick – Basketball Predictions & Odds 1/31/23

The Ohio Bobcats and the Eastern Michigan Eagles meet Tuesday in college basketball action from EMU Convocation Center. Ohio is sitting at 11-10 so far this year. The Bobcats lost to Akron on Saturday. As for Eastern Michigan, they’re 6-16 after a win over Miami-OH in their last outing. Ohio Bobcats 

Ohio went 9-7 to start out the year, losing to Belmont, Michigan, Detroit, Marshall, Florida, Buffalo and Bowling Green.The Bobcats are 2-3 since then, falling to Kent State, Toledo and Akron in that time. 

Back on Saturday versus Akron, the Bobcats were down 47-30 by halftime. Ohio hit a 47-36 halftime run to make it interesting but still lost 83-77. Jaylin Hunter was the team’s top scorer with 16 points and five assists. 

Eastern Michigan Eagles

Over on the Eastern Michigan side, they managed a 4-12 run over their first 16 games with wins over Wayne St., FIU, Detroit and Central Michigan. The Eagles are 1-4 since then with losses to Akron, Kent State, NIU and Toledo. 

In the Miami-OH game on Saturday, the Eagles held a 30-38 edge going into the second half. Eastern Michigan hit a 34-31 run from there and won it 74-69. Noah Farrakhan was tops on the team in scoring with 20 points and six rebounds. 

ANDREW’S FREE PICK 

I’ll probably stay with Ohio. Also probably not touching this one. The Bobcats are a sketchy 2-3 over their last five games, although two of those three losses came by six points or fewer. Ohio has still scored well lately, with 75 or more points in four straight outings. As for Eastern Michigan, they’re fresh off a nice win over Miami-OH that stopped a five-game losing streak. The Eagles have scored 67 or fewer points in three of their last five however, so I don’t think they’ll be able to keep pace if Ohio gets going.
