Florida vs Ole Miss Pick – Basketball Predictions & Odds 2/15/23

The Ole Miss Rebels and the Florida Gators meet Wednesday in college basketball action from O’Connell Center. Ole Miss is 10-15 so far this year. The Rebels lost to South Carolina in their last game. Ole Miss Rebels 

Ole Miss kicked off the season on a .500 clip, going 9-9 over their first 18 games. The Rebels are just 1-6 in their last seven games, falling to Arkansas, Missouri, Kentucky, Oklahoma State, Vanderbilt and South Carolina in that time. 

In the South Carolina game on Saturday, the Rebels took a 38-35 edge into the second half. Ole Miss was outscored 29-23 from there and lost 64-61. Tye Fagan led the team on 17 points, and Robert Allen added 10 points with seven rebounds in the defeat. 

Florida Gators 

Over on the Florida side, they were sitting at 10-8 by the 18-game mark this year. The Gators are 3-4 in their last seven outings, losing to Kansas State, Kentucky, Alabama and Vanderbilt with wins over Mississippi State, South Carolina and Tennessee. 

In the Vanderbilt matchup on Saturday, the Gators were down 42-41 at the break. Florida hit a 46-39 deficit in the second half and ended up losing 88-80. Colin Castleton was the leading scorer on 25 points with 11 rebounds. 

ANDREW’S FREE PICK 

I’ll probably take a stab on Florida here. I could also probably go either way in this one. Both these teams have been struggling and need positive showings here, so it should be a fairly competitive matchup. Florida has lost three straight since their win over Tennessee, but the good news is that the Gators are still scoring pretty well with 67 or more points in all three outings. As for Ole Miss, they had 66 or more in three straight before the ugly loss to South Carolina on Saturday. I like the Rebels to bounce back with a better effort in a fairly high-scoring affair here.
