The Kentucky Wildcats and the Georgia Bulldogs meet Saturday in college basketball action from Stegeman Coliseum. Kentucky is 16-8 overall this year. The Wildcats lost to Arkansas in their last game. As for Georgia, they’re 14-10 following a loss to Ole Miss on Tuesday. Check back all season long for free college basketball picks at Sports Chat Place.

Kentucky Wildcats

Kentucky opened up the year on a pretty decent run, going 12-6 over their first 18 outings. Since then, the Wildcats have had similar results with a 4-2 stretch. The wins in that time have come versus Vanderbilt, Texas A&M, Ole Miss and Florida.

In the Tuesday game versus Arkansas, Kentucky took a 41-40 deficit into the locker room. The Wildcats fell behind 47-33 in the second half and lost 88-73. Cason Wallace was the top team scorer on 24 points and five assists.

Georgia Bulldogs

Over on the Georgia side, they didn’t fare too badly over their first 18 games either with a 13-5 run. The Bulldogs are just 1-5 since then however, falling to Vanderbilt, Tennessee, Auburn, Texas A&M and Ole Miss in that time.

Matched up against Ole Miss on Tuesday, the Bulldogs were down by one point at halftime. Georgia didn’t end up getting any closer on a 43-40 second-half deficit and lost 78-74, though. Braelen Bridges doubled up on 26 points and 11 rebounds in the defeat.

ANDREW’S FREE PICK

I’ll probably take Kentucky in this one. You could probably make a case either way, though. The Wildcats are scoring pretty well these days; they’ve hit 68 or more points in seven straight outings (going 5-2 in that time). The last time these teams met up back on January 17, Kentucky powered out an 85-71 win at Rupp Arena. The Wildcats climbed out of a 42-34 first-half hole with 51 second-half points in order to bag the comeback in that one. Kentucky is going to have to get off to a better start in this road rematch, but I think the Wildcats are good enough to power out a cover if they play well.

Andrew's Free Pick: Kentucky Wildcats -5.5
