IUPUI has had a rough season to say the least. The Jaguars started out at just 3-21 in their first 24 games. Since then the Jaguars are 2-5 with losses to Wright State, Northern Kentucky, Oakland, Detroit Mercy and Youngstown State.
In the Youngstown State matchup on Saturday, the Jaguars were up 39-38 going into the second half. IUPUI came back to reality on a 55-40 deficit from there and lost 93-79. Tops in scoring was Jlynn Counter with 20 points and four assists.
Robert Morris Colonials
Over on the Robert Morris side, they managed an 11-13 stretch through their first 24 outings. The Colonials are on a 4-3 run right now with wins over Fort Wayne, Green Bay, Milwaukee and Youngstown State alongside losses to Wright State, Cleveland State and IUPUI.
Back on Thursday versus IUPUI, the Colonials managed a 34-29 halftime edge. Robert Morris was outpaced 52-41 from there however and lost 81-75. Kahliel Spear led the team on a double-double with 27 points and 12 rebounds.

I’ll stick with Robert Morris here. The Colonials need a good bounce-back effort after their Thursday loss at Indiana Farmers Coliseum, though. Robert Morris had a four-game win streak going prior to that, and they’ve hit 71 or more points in five straight outings. The Colonials beat IUPUI 77-70 the first time they met this season back on January 9, and I think this third installment will go more in Robert Morris’ direction. IUPUI has improved over the last handful of games however, so the Jaguars could throw a wrench into the plans if they play well.
