Alabama Crimson Tide

Alabama managed to post a solid 19-3 run over their first 22 games this year. In the next seven outings the Tide went 6-1, taking wins over LSU, Florida, Auburn, Georgia, South Carolina and Arkansas alongside a loss to Tennessee.

On Wednesday versus Auburn, Alabama came back from a 40-33 halftime deficit to force overtime. The Tide scored another 15 points from there for the 90-85 win. Jahvon Quinerly was tops on the team with 24 points and six assists.

Texas A&M Aggies

Over on the Texas A&M side, they hit a 15-7 stretch over their first 22 outings. The Aggies have since gone 7-1 with wins over Georgia, Auburn, LSU, Arkansas, Tennessee, Missouri and Ole Miss. The lone loss came versus Mississippi State.

Matched up against Ole Miss on Tuesday, Texas A&M managed a 34-28 halftime lead. The Aggies kept it up with a 35-33 run in the second half and took the win 69-61. Tyrece Radford posted 13 points with seven rebounds and four assists to lead the team.

ANDREW’S FREE PICK

I’ll probably take a shot on Texas A&M here. The Aggies played pretty well versus Ole Miss in their last game, posting 40 rebounds, 15 assists and just five turnovers to the Rebels’ 18. That said, the shooting wasn’t all that hot at 37.9 percent overall and 5-of-22 (22.7 percent) from 3-point range. As for Alabama they’re chugging right along on a four-game win streak and coming off a nice win over rival Auburn. The Tide have scored 78 or more points in all four of those outings, so the Aggies are going to have to get moving quickly in order to keep pace. I think they’ll do it.
