Virginia is listed as 3.5-point road favorites with an attached ML price of -167. The total for this game is set at 136.5 points.

Matchup history

Wake Forest won the last meeting with Virginia 63-55 back on January 15th, 2022. That win snapped a nine-game win streak for Virginia head-to-head.

Virginia is 1-4 ATS in their last 5 road games and 3-10 ATS in their last 13 games overall while the under is 5-2 in their last 7 games following an ATS win. Wake Forest is 6-1 ATS in their last 7 games overall and 4-0 ATS in their last 4 home games while the over is 20-8 in their last 28 games overall.

I’m going to back Virginia here. The Demon Deacons are coming off of an emotional win over Clemson in their last game, and now have to get that same energy up for another tough matchup against a really good Virginia team with a defense that travels. Wake also likes to play a fast paced style, and I think they’ll get frustrated when Virginia slows the pace down to a screeching halt. I’ll side with the Cavaliers on the road here as I just don’t see Wake Forest having success against the Cavaliers defense.
