Wisconsin-Milwaukee vs Wisconsin-Green Bay Pick – Basketball Predictions & Odds 2/6/23

In that one the Phoenix lost by 15 points. As for Milwaukee, they’re sitting at 16-7 overall after a Thursday win over the same IUPUI team. Green Bay Phoenix

Green Bay kicked off the season on a rough 2-14 run with wins over only IUPUI and UMKC. The Phoenix would lose the next seven games versus Cleveland State, Wright State (twice), Northern Kentucky (twice), Youngstown State and Robert Morris. 

On Saturday versus IUPUI, the Phoenix took a 31-25 deficit into the locker room. Green Bay was outscored 37-28 from there and lost 68-53. Cade Meyer was the leading scorer on 16 points and seven rebounds. 

Milwaukee Panthers 

Over on the Milwaukee side, they opened up the year on a decent 10-5 run. The Panthers hit a 6-2 run over the next eight games, beating Fort Wayne, Northern Kentucky, Robert Morris, Youngstown State, Northern Kentucky again and IUPUI. 

On Thursday versus IUPUI, Milwaukee managed a 38-37 edge going into the second half. The Panthers posted a 34-32 run from there and won the game 72-69. Leading scorer Kentrell Pullian put up 12 points and five rebounds. 

ANDREW’S FREE PICK 

I’ll probably stick with Milwaukee here. The line’s probably too thick to mess with, though. The Panthers weren’t exactly dominant against a bad IUPUI team in their last outing, but a lot of players got minutes in a three-point road win. Milwaukee has scored very well lately with 72 or more points in eight straight outings. These teams last met way back on December 1 in an 81-67 Milwaukee win at Resch Center. With a comfortable home matchup in store for Monday’s rematch I like the Panthers on a dominant cover.
