The Northern Iowa Panthers and the Arkansas Razorbacks meet in college basketball action from Bud Walton Arena on Wednesday night.

The Northern Iowa Panthers will look to build on their first win of the season after a 95-58 win over Dubuque in their last matchup. Austin Phyfe leads UNI in scoring and assists with 11 PPG and 3.3 APG with 4.7 RPG as well while Noah Carter and Drew Daniel each have 10 PPG with 3 RPG this season. Tywhon Pickford and AJ Green each have 9.3 PPG and Trae Berhow’s got a team-high 5.3 RPG this season. As a team, Northern Iowa is averaging 70 PPG on 43.6% shooting from the field, 31.5% from three and 67.2% from the foul line while allowing 63.7 PPG on 42.9% shooting from the field and 28.7% from three this season.

The Arkansas Razorbacks will be out to build on an 86-69 win over Gardner-Webb last time out. JD Notae leads the Razorbacks with 24 PPG while Connor Vanover has 19 PPG and 7 RPG. Chris Lykes and Au’Diese Toney each have 10.5 PPG with Toney logging a team-high 8 RPG Jaylin Williams also has 5 APG as well for the Razorbacks this season. As a team, Arkansas is averaging 80 PPG on 47.2% shooting from the field, 39.6% from three and 67.6% from the foul line while allowing 65 PPG on 45.2% shooting from the field and 41.9% from three this season.

Northern Iowa is 0-4-1 ATS in their last 5 games against a team with a winning record and 1-7 ATS in their last 8 road games against a team with a winning home record while the over is 10-1 in their last 11 games after scoring more than 90 points in their previous game. Arkansas is 0-4 ATS in their last 4 games overall and 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games following a win while the under is 12-3-1 in their last 16 home games.

I think this game all comes down to how Arkansas played this game as if the Hogs play a lower-scoring and slower game, it plays into the hand of Northern Iowa. However, I think it’s the opposite as the Hogs will force UNI to match their pace and I just don’t think the Panthers can score at that kind of clip. I look for the Razorbacks to pull away over the course of the second half, so give me Arkansas here.
