The Kent State Golden Flashes and the Auburn Tigers meet Wednesday in college basketball action from Auburn Arena. Here’s an Auburn vs Kent State prediction. We will look at this from a betting perspective and determine the best Auburn vs Kent State pick.

Kent State Golden Flashes Betting Preview

The Flashes got off to a nice start this year versus Louisiana, taking a win in their first outing. Kent State scored 30 points in the first half and 40 more in the second to finish with a 70-66 outcome. VonCameron Davis led the charge with 17 points and three rebounds.

In game two versus Miami-Hamilton, the Flashes got an even bigger victory. Kent State was up 50-23 by the break and cruised to the win 98-53. Davis (two rebounds) and Cli’Ron Hornbeak (nine rebounds) each scored a team-high 18 points this time.

Over on the Auburn side, they got off to a nice start as well with a blowout victory over Vermont in their opener. The Tigers scored 48 points in the second half to finish off a 94-43 win. Miles Kelly logged 21 points along the way, and Denver Jones chipped in 16 points.

Game two was a much taller order versus Houston, but Auburn passed that road test with flying colors. The Tigers were down 33-28 at halftime, then stormed back on a 46-36 run for a 74-69 win. Johni Broome led the way this time with 20 points, nine rebounds, and two assists.

Auburn vs Kent State Prediction

I’m staying with Auburn. There’s little doubt the Tigers will take a sizable win here—the only question is the margin of victory. Auburn looked great in their last game versus a good Houston team, especially in the second half. The Tigers would finish with 52.9 percent shooting, 33 rebounds and 14 assists. The 12 turnovers were really the only major statistical error.

As for Kent State, they’re coming off an easy win against Miami-Hamilton. The Flashes shot 57.8 percent from the field with 24 assists and a 33-26 rebounding edge. Kent State will snap back to reality on Wednesday though, and I don’t see them finishing anywhere close in this one.
