The Vanderbilt Commodores will travel to Auburn Arena to take on the 2nd ranked Auburn Tigers this Wednesday night in College Basketball action.
The Vanderbilt Commodores had their 2-game winning streak snapped and dropped to 13-11 on the season after being defeated by the 19th ranked Tennessee Volunteers, 73-64, this past Saturday. Vanderbilt fought back from a 44-32 halftime deficit to make it a competitive game in the 2nd half, however, the Commodores could not fight back after the Volunteers took a 69-59 lead with 3:02 left in regulation. Vanderbilt shot 40.8% from the field & 37.0% from beyond the arc while allowing Tennessee to shoot 36.7% from the field & 31.8% from beyond the arc. Leading the way for the Commodores was Scotty Pippen Jr. who had 23 points, 3 rebounds, 6 assists, & 1 steal.

Auburn was outstanding defensively against Texas A&M and had no trouble securing the victory after going into halftime with a 33-18 lead. Auburn shot 39.7% from the field & 12.0% from beyond the arc while holding Texas A&M to just 27.1% shooting from the field & 13.6% from beyond the arc. Leading the way for the Tigers was Walker Kessler who had a triple-double with 12 points, 11 rebounds, 1 assist, & 12 blocks.
On the season, Auburn is averaging 80.0 ppg on 44.5% shooting from the field. The Tigers are averaging 8.0 three-pointers per game on 31.3% shooting from beyond the arc. Offensively, Auburn has been led by Jabari Smith (15.2 ppg, 6.8 rpg, 1.7 apg, 1.3 spg, 1.0 bpg), K.D.
