Baylor vs Northern Colorado 11/14/22 College Basketball Picks, Predictions, Odds

The Northern Colorado Bears and the Baylor Bears meet in college basketball action from the Ferrell Center on Monday night.

The Northern Colorado Bears will try to build on their 80-77 win over Texas A&M-Commerce last time out. Daylen Kountz led the Bears with 23 points while Dalton Knecht had 20 points on 7 of 9 shooting with 4 threes, 7 rebounds and a team-high 4 assists. Caleb Shaw added 18 points on 6 of 8 shooting with 5 threes and 7 rebounds of his own to cap off the scoring in double figures for Northern Colorado in the win.

The Baylor Bears will be out to build on an 87-70 win over Norfolk State last time out. Keyonte George led the Bears with 23 points on 8 of 13 shooting with 6 threes and a team-high 7 assists and 3 steals while Jalen Bridges added 20 points on 5 of 8 shooting with 5 rebounds and 3 assists. Adam Flagler added 18 points on 7 of 11 shooting with 4 threes and 5 assists to finish off the scoring in double figures for Baylor in the victory.

Northern Colorado is 35-16-1 ATS in their last 52 games following an ATS loss and 37-17-1 ATS in their last 55 road games while the over is 23-10 in their last 33 games overall. Baylor is 3-1-1 ATS in their last 5 games following an ATS loss and 0-4 ATS in their last 4 games following a win while the over is 25-10 in their last 35 home games.

I get why Northern Colorado and the points is tempting as this is normally a Northern Colorado team that can score points in bunches when needed. However, Northern Colorado’s two games this season were a win, and a close win, against a Texas A&M-Commerce team they were laying double-digits against, and a loss to a far better Houston team in a game Northern Colorado was more than doubled up in. I think it’s safe to say that Baylor is closer to the level of Houston than Texas A&M-Commerce. I look for Baylor to put the hammer down on Northern Colorado here, so I’ll lay the points with Baylor.
