Vermont hit an up-and-down 6-4 run through their first 10 games, but they’ve only got one loss since then. Following that 75-74 overtime road loss to Hartford on February 14, the Catamounts bounced back with wins over New Hampshire and UMBC.

Matched up against UMBC on Saturday, the Catamounts hit a 46-27 first-half run and ended up cruising to an 86-59 victory. Tops in scoring was Aaron Deloney with 20 options and Ryan Davis added 18 points with four boards.

Over on the Binghamton side, they were sitting at 8-8 back in late January but haven’t been able to get over that .500 hump. The Bearcats are 1-3 in their last four, losing to Vermont, New Hampshire and Albany before a win over UMass Lowell.

In the UMass Lowell game over the weekend, the Bearcats were up by two points by halftime. Binghamton hit a 44-32 run from there in a 78-64 win. John McGriff was the leading scorer on 21 points with three rebounds.

The Bearcats are 0-3-1 ATS in their last four at home and 1-3-1 ATS in the last five overall. Binghamton is 2-5-1 ATS in the last eight Wednesday games.
Meanwhile, the Catamounts are 6-2 ATS in their last eight road games and 20-6-1 ATS in their last 27 Wednesday games. Vermont is 4-1 ATS in their last five overall.

PICK: I’m going to stay with Vermont. The Catamounts haven’t had a ton of issues over this 16-1 stretch, and they’re scoring well. Vermont has hit 70 or more points in each of those 17 games. These teams last met up back on February 9 in an 82-51 blowout win at home for Vermont. Binghamton seems to play a little better at home these days but it’s going to take a lot for the Bearcats to keep up in this one.
