Boise State vs Nevada 3/1/22 College Basketball Picks, Predictions, Odds

The Nevada Wolf Pack and the Boise State Broncos meet in college basketball action from the ExtraMile Arena on Tuesday night.

The Nevada Wolf Pack will look to bounce back from back-to-back losses after a 74-61 loss to Wyoming in their last game. Grant Sherfield leads the Wolf Pack in scoring and assists with 18.4 PPG and 6.5 APG while Desmond Cambridge has 16.7 PPG with 5.3 RPG and 1.9 APG. Will Baker has 11.6 PPG with 5.3 RPG and Warren Washington has 10.3 PPG with 6.4 RPG to lead the Wolf Pack on the glass to round out the scoring in double figures for the Wolf Pack so far this season. As a team, Nevada is averaging 72.4 PPG on 44.8% shooting from the field, 33.4% from three and 74.8% from the foul line while allowing 73.7 PPG on 43.6% shooting from the field and 35.5% from three this season.

The Boise State Broncos will try to build on their four-game win streak after an 86-76 win over UNLV last time out. Abu Kigab leads the Broncos in scoring with 14.4 PPG along with 6 RPG while Marcus Shaver Jr. has 13.9 PPG with 3.9 RPG. Emmanuel Akot has 10.3 PPG with a team-high 2.9 APG this season and Tyson Degenhart has 10.3 PPG to make up the scoring in double figures on average for Boise State while Mladen Armus leads Boise State on the glass with 7.9 RPG this season. As a team, Boise State is averaging 69.1 PPG on 44.4% shooting from the field, 35% from three and 63.8% from the foul line while allowing 60.2 PPG on 42.2% shooting from the field and 32.7% from three this season.

Nevada is 3-13 ATS in their last 16 games against a team with a winning record and 0-5 ATS in their last 5 Tuesday games while the under is 4-1 in their last 5 games against a team with a winning percentage above .600. Boise State is 1-6 ATS in their last 7 home games and 1-4 ATS in their last 5 home games against a team with a losing road record while the over is 7-2 in their last 9 games overall.

I get the case to be made either way here, but I’m leaning towards the under in this one. Boise State’s playing far better this season, but the Broncos can be hard to trust offensively at times as well. I can see Nevada struggling offensively here and I can see a bit of a defensive struggle across the board, so give me the under in this one.
