The Washington State Cougars will be looking to build on an 83-61 win over Texas State last time out. Mouhamed Gueye had a team-high 18 points and 13 rebounds for the double-double while DJ Rodman had 16 points on 5 of 9 shooting with 4 threes. Justin Powell had 14 points on 5 of 8 shooting with 3 threes and a team-high 12 assists for his own double-double while Jabe Mullins added 13 points to round out the scoring in double figures for Washington State in the win.
The Boise State Broncos will look to rebound from a 68-66 loss to South Dakota State in their last game. Max Rice had 21 points on 7 of 15 shooting with 4 threes and 5 steals while Marcus Shaver Jr. had 17 points on 6 of 12 shooting with team-highs of 6 rebounds, 5 assists and 3 steals. Tyson Degenhart had 12 points on 5 of 11 shooting with 5 rebounds and a pair of blocks and Naje Smith had 12 points of his own on 6 of 8 shooting with 5 boards as well.

I would be lying if I said I wasn’t disappointed with how Boise State fell to South Dakota State, but the reality is that while this is a neutral site game, it’s a pseudo home game for Boise being in Idaho, and the Broncos are a better team than the result shows. Boise State also had the much tougher opponent in their matchup. Washington State has a bit to prove before I take them with confidence in a spot like this. Give me the Broncos laying the point.
