The Ohio Bobcats and the Bowling Green Falcons meet Saturday in college basketball action from Stroh Center. Ohio is 8-6 so far this year. The Bobcats lost to Buffalo in their last game. As for Bowling Green, they’re sitting at 7-7 overall after a win versus Eastern Michigan. Check back all season long for free college basketball picks at Sports Chat Place.

Ohio went 5-5 over their first 10 outings this year, beating Cleveland State, Eastern Illinois, Alabama State, Cincinnati-Clermont and Youngstown State. The Bobcats are 3-1 since then with a lone loss to Buffalo.

On Tuesday versus Buffalo, the Bobcats were down 39-32 going into the second half. Ohio fought back from there but ended up losing 75-72. Miles Brown led the way on 24 points with six rebounds.

Over on the Bowling Green side, they were 4-6 after 10 games with wins over Air Force, Oakland, Morgan State and Hampton. The Falcons are 3-1 in their last four with wins over Fairmont State, OH Dominican and Eastern Michigan.

In the Tuesday matchup versus Eastern Michigan, Bowling Green held an 11-point lead at the break. The Falcons kept the pressure on in the second and won 91-65. Leon Ayers posted 24 points, and Chandler Turner doubled on 14 points and 10 boards.

PICK: I’m going to try Bowling Green in this one. The Falcons are on a solid run during this three-game win streak—despite playing three overmatched teams in that time. Even so, Bowling Green has scored 91 points in all three games, which will serve the team well confidence-wise coming into this one. As for Ohio, they’ve hit 72 or more points in four straight games and should score pretty well here too. If the Falcons can keep that offense going I think they’ll come along for the ride.
