The Army Black Knights and the Bucknell Bison meet Tuesday in college basketball action from Sojka Pavilion. Army is currently 7-6 on the year. The Knights beat Loyola MD in their last game. As for Bucknell, they’re 3-10 this season and fresh off a loss to Boston U. Check back all season long for free college basketball picks at Sports Chat Place.

Army began the year on a 4-4 run with losses to Duke, La Salle, Siena and Air Force. It’s been a 3-2 run from there for the Knights with losses to LIU and South Carolina alongside wins over Purchase, NJIT and Loyola MD.

In the Greyhounds matchup, Army had a nice 46-33 lead at halftime. The Knights scored just 22 points in the second half and had to go to overtime for the 77-74 win. Jalen Rucker was the leading scorer on the team with 21 points, three rebounds and two assists.

Over on the Bucknell side, they hit a 2-8 run over their first 10 games this year with losses to NC State, Penn, IL State, Mercer, Rider, St. Francis PA, Hofstra and Princeton. After a win over La Salle, the Bison lost to Richmond and Boston U.

In the Boston U game, the Bison went into halftime with a five-point deficit. Bucknell couldn’t catch back up from there in an eventual 63-61 loss. Top scorer Andrew Funk put up 25 points with three rebounds in 35 minutes of work.

The Bison are 1-6 ATS in their last seven after an ATS win and 1-8 ATS in their last nine Tuesday games. The over is 6-2 in Bucknell’s last eight home games.

Meanwhile, the Knights are 1-4-1 ATS in their last six Tuesday games and the over is 6-1 in their last seven Tuesday games. The over is 5-1 in Army’s last six overall.

PICK: I’m probably going to stick with Army. The Knights have been all over the place scoring-wise this year, but they’ve hit 75 or more points in three of their last four outings. Army should have plenty of opportunities to put up points here as well. Bucknell has allowed 81 or more points in five of their last six games, and they’ve hit 70 points themselves just once during that stretch. There’s a path to a cover here for Army if they can get the offense moving.
