The St. Bonaventure Bonnies and the Buffalo Bulls meet Saturday in college basketball action from UB Alumni Arena. St. Bonaventure is currently 5-2 and coming off a win over Middle Tennessee. As for Buffalo, they’re 3-4 on the season. The Bulls beat Canisius in their last game. Check back all season long for free college basketball picks at Sports Chat Place.

St. Bonaventure lost two of their first three games this year, falling to Canisius and South Dakota State. The Bonnies have since hit a win streak, taking out Bowling Green, Southern Indiana, Notre Dame and Middle Tennessee.

St. Bonaventure was facing a 35-29 deficit at halftime in the Wednesday matchup versus Middle Tennessee. The Bonnies hit a 42-29 run from there and won 71-64. Kyrell Luc led the team on 22 points, and Daryl Banks posted 15 points.

Over on the Buffalo side, they beat Colgate in their opener this year, then dropped games to James Madison, UConn, Drake and Howard over the next four. The Bulls stopped the losing streak with a victory over George Mason.

On Sunday versus Canisius, Buffalo managed another victory. The Bulls posted 47 points in the second half on the way to a dominant 86-66 win. Curtis Jones was the top scorer with 22 points, six rebounds and two assists.

PICK: I’m going to stay with St. Bonaventure. The Bonnies have hit a nice stride over the last four games. They’ve posted 71 or more points in three of those outings, and 71 or more points in five of seven games overall. As for Buffalo, they’ve had their ups and downs already this year. The Bulls do have some pretty good offensive performances in the books, though; they’ve hit 72 or more points in four of seven games. I like this one to be a fairly high-scoring affair as well, with the Bonnies taking the cover.
