Central Connecticut State vs Army 12/20/22 College Basketball Picks, Predictions, Odds

The Army Black Knights and the Central Connecticut State Blue Devils meet Tuesday in college basketball action from Detrick Gymnasium. Army is 5-7 on the year. The Knights lost to Stony Brook in their last game. As for Central CT State, they’re 2-10 overall after a win over Manhattan back on Friday. Army went 2-5 over their first seven games with wins over only Keystone and Siena during that time. The Knights hit a win streak versus Merchant Marine, Wagner and NJIT then lost to Rhode Island and Stony Brook.

In Sunday’s game versus Stony Brook, the Knights were up 33-28 by halftime. Army posted a 38-26 deficit in the second half for a 66-59 defeat. Coleton Benson led the team on his 19 points and five rebounds.

Over on the Central CT State side, they lost nine straight games from November 7 to December 3 to begin the year. Since then the Devils are 2-1 however, taking wins over Dartmouth and Manhattan.

On Friday versus Manhattan, the Blue Devils jumped out to a 39-28 lead by the break. Central CT State kept the pace from there and managed to win 78-67. Kellen Amos was the top team scorer with 20 points and four rebounds.

PICK: I’m probably going to stick with Army. Not going near it, though. The Black Knights haven’t exactly been the most reliable team so far this year. Army is coming off a rough second half in a loss to a struggling Stony Brook team and the Knights haven’t surpassed 67 points for three straight games. As for Central CT State, they’re playing better lately with 155 combined points over their last two games. I’m leaning toward Army but this one could probably go either way.
