The Southern Indiana Screaming Eagles and the Chicago State Cougars meet in college basketball action from the Jones Convocation Center on Sunday.
The Southern Indiana Screaming Eagles will try to rebound from an 86-78 loss to Western Illinois in their last game. Wesley Cardet Jr. leads the Cougars in scoring and assists with 16.7 PPG and 3.1 APG while Jahsean Crockett has 12.1 PPG with a team-high 9.2 RPG to lead the Cougars on the class and Elijah Weaver has 12.9 PPG to cap off the trio of double-digit scorers for Chicago State up to this point in the season. As a team, Chicago State is averaging 66.5 PPG on 40.3% shooting from the field, 32.5% from three and 75.9% from the foul line this season.

I’m not sure what to make of their one of these teams as Southern Indiana continues to alternate wins and losses while Chicago State’s back to old habits, losing games left and right and doing nothing to fix it. That’s why I like the over here. Chicago State keeps playing in high-scoring games, albeit one-sided ones for the most part as the defense can’t get the stops they need to compete. All in all I think this one’s a high-scoring game so give me the over here.
