Cincinnati vs Morehead State Prediction 11-8-24 College Basketball Picks

The Morehead State Eagles and the Cincinnati Bearcats meet Friday in college basketball action from Fifth Third Arena. Here’s a Cincinnati vs Morehead State prediction. We will look at this from a betting perspective and determine the best Cincinnati vs Morehead State pick.

Morehead State Eagles Betting Preview

The Eagles have two games in the books already. First came a Monday matchup with Louisville. Morehead State scored just 14 first-half points in that one in a 93-45 blowout loss. Kenny White was the only double-digit scorer on the team with 14 points and six boards.

In game two against Boyce on Wednesday, the Eagles surged to a 45-26 halftime lead and eventually took a blowout win 89-48. Tyler Brelsford finished with 16 points to lead the team, and Kade Ruegsegger added a double-double on 10 points and 10 rebounds.

Cincinnati Bearcats Betting Preview

Over on the Cincinnati side, they posted a 22-15 overall record last year but went just 7-11 in a tough Big 12. The Bearcats finished ahead of only UCF, Oklahoma State and West Virginia with that effort. Their final game was a loss to Indiana State in the Quarterfinals of the NIT.

Cincinnati has one win in the books so far against AR-Pine Bluff. The Bearcats scored 55 points in the first half and 54 in the second for a 109-54 win. Simas Lukosius put up 20 points and four assists to set the pace. Jizzle James doubled on 12 points and 10 assists, as did Dan Skillings with 17 points and 11 boards.

Cincinnati vs Morehead State Prediction

I’m staying with Cincinnati, even though the line’s pretty thick. The Bearcats didn’t have any trouble with an overmatched AR-Pine Bluff squad on Monday. Cincinnati shot 58.3 percent from the field with a blistering 50 percent (12-of-24) from outside along with a 48-25 rebounding edge and just nine turnovers. If there’s a gripe, it’s the ugly 56.5 percent (13-of-23) from the line.

As for Morehead State, they didn’t stand much of a chance against Louisville and lost handily in their opener. Game two went better, as the Eagles faced an overmatched Boyce College team and pretty much dominated the whole game. This one’s going to be another tough matchup though, and I think the Eagles will come back down to earth.
