College of Charleston vs Richmond 11/14/22 College Basketball Picks, Predictions, Odds

The Richmond Spiders and the Charleston Cougars meet in college basketball action from the TD Arena on Monday night.

The Richmond Spiders come into this game sitting at 2-0 after a 68-55 win over Northern Iowa in their last game. Jason Nelson led the Spiders with 21 points on 9 of 15 shooting while Jason Roche had 14 points with 4 threes. Tyler Burton added 11 points with a team-high 9 rebounds to cap off the trio of double-digit scorers for Richmond in the win. Neal Quinn added a team-high 5 assists while Isaiah Bigelow had 7 rebounds as well in the win.

The Charleston Cougars will hope to bounce back from a 102-86 loss to North Carolina in their last game. Dalton Bolon led the way with 16 points on 7 of 14 shooting while Ante Brzovic added 15 points on 6 of 8 shooting with 3 threes. Pat Robinson III added 14 points on 6 of 11 shooting while Raekwon Horton added 10 points to cap of the group of double-digit scorers for Charleston in the loss. Babacar Faye added 7 points with a team-high 8 rebounds while Jaylon Scott added 6 points with 6 boards and a team-high 7 assists.

Richmond is 5-2 ATS in their last 7 games overall and 18-7-1 ATS in their last 26 road games while the under is 16-4-1 in their last 21 games overall. Charleston is 8-1 ATS in their last 9 games overall and 4-1 ATS in their last 5 home games while the over is 6-1 in their last 7 games following an ATS win.

This will be interesting to see how Richmond handles their first road game of the season and Charleston did have North Carolina on the ropes early before falling apart in the second half. That being said, I trust the Spiders with their experience and I trust them a heck of a lot more on the defensive end of the floor as well. Not a game I’m rushing to bet, I may watch this one as a fan, but I’d lean towards laying the points with Richmond.
